Job Summary

The successful candidate will join a neurology service consisting of three full-time faculty members, three residents, and two dedicated technicians. The primary responsibility for this position is to teach and provide clinical service in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital while sharing clinical responsibilities with another faculty member. Duties include supervision of MRI acquisition, delivery of case and didactic rounds for students, and provision of primary case management including supervising house officers and students during appointments, emergency transfers, diagnostic procedures, surgery, and in-hospital care. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collegially are required.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have a DVM or equivalent degree and advanced training in small animal neurology. Board certification or having completed a residency approved by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine or European College of Veterinary Neurology is required. Salary and entry rank will be commensurate with experience level. Appointment at the associate professor rank requires (1) a minimum of five years of experience in a similar position or comparable training, background, and experience, and (2) board certification.
