Job Summary

The Carl Vinson Institute of Government at The University of Georgia invites applications for a Public Service Faculty position in the State Services and Decision Support Division’s Survey Research and Evaluation Unit. The position will be available July 1, 2017 and carries rank in the public service faculty career ladder of the University.

The successful candidate will have major responsibility for research and evaluation projects involving state and local governments and not-for-profits.

Minimum Qualifications

A master’s degree in public administration, public health, education, business, the social sciences, or the humanities is required. Detailed knowledge of program evaluation, survey research, quantitative and qualitative research methods is required. The successful candidate will have at least five years’ prior experience and expertise in program evaluation, statistical analysis, quantitative and qualitative research methods, and/or applied research. In addition, the successful candidate will possess superb research, analysis, writing, and presentation skills. An appreciation for the complexities involved in working in a public political setting required.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. preferred. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience (five or more years) working with state and local agencies or not-for-profits in a research or evaluation position.
