Job Summary

The University of Georgia Department of English ( seeks to hire a non-tenure track, instructor beginning August 2017. Typical teaching load is four courses per semester. Position renewable indefinitely based upon annual performance evaluations, student demand, and instructional funding.

Qualifications: M.A., M.F.A., or Ph.D. (Ph.D. preferable) in English or related discipline and a minimum of two years college composition teaching experience. Desired: Evidence of graduate coursework in Rhetoric and Composition, administrative and/or teaching experience in FYC; Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition, English, or related discipline.

Applications should include a letter of application, vita with references, sample teaching materials or a teaching portfolio and three confidential letters of recommendation.
