The Department of Public Administration and Policy in the University of Georgia’s School of Public & International Affairs invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in public budgeting and/or finance. This position requires a teaching and research focus within any of the following areas: public budgeting, financial management/administration, and/or public finance. Successful candidates should demonstrate a dedication to research, teaching, and student mentorship as well as an ability to contribute to the current strengths of our MPA and Ph.D. programs. Candidates with interest in advancing grantmanship (collaboratively or individually) to support research in these areas are especially encouraged to apply. Applicants should have an earned Ph.D. in public administration or a related field by August 2018.

Minimum Qualifications

A Ph.D. in public administration, public affairs, political science, or a related field is required.

Evidence of high-quality research and an active research agenda along with a commitment to excellence in instruction are necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with demonstrated success in securing external research funding are especially encouraged to apply.
