Job Description:
TWO Tenure-track positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with a particular interest in individuals who employ chemical, biochemical, genetic, computational, molecular and cellular, or pharmaceutical techniques to develop new therapeutics, study drug functions and metabolism, or improve treatments for diseases.

The Department offers a unique multidisciplinary environment with strengths in medicinal chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical analysis, cancer and neurosciences. Strong research resources include new state-of-the-art facilities, a generous start-up package, and a PhD-granting graduate program.

Candidates at the Assistant Professor level are required to have a PhD, MD or equivalent in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Synthetic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Neuroscience or related disciplines. Candidates at the Associate Professor level are required to have the same as above with at least 4 years at the rank of Assistant Professor, currently an Associate Professor or equivalent experience. Successful candidates are expected to have a significant record of publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals to establish and maintain a competitive extramurally-funded research program and have a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Minimum Qualifications

Assistant Professor – PhD, MD or equivalent in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Synthetic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Neuroscience or related disciplines and at least 1 year of postdoctoral training or equivalent experience.
Associate Professor – Same as above with at least 4 years at the rank of Assistant Professor, currently an Associate Professor or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Successful candidates are expected to have a significant record of publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, to establish and maintain a competitively extramurally-funded research program and have a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
