The Department of Public Administration and Policy in the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Georgia invites applications for a tenured associate professor position with responsibility to serve as the Director of our highly ranked NASPAA accredited Master of Public Administration program. The appointment will begin in August 2018. The position requires a research and teaching focus on public administration/management and the ability to successfully manage student recruitment, admission, advising, curriculum development, and other program elements. Ideal candidates will also have a record of excellence in teaching core courses and/or electives in an MPA program. Evidence of high-quality research and an active research agenda are necessary, and candidates with demonstrated success in securing external research funding are especially encouraged to apply. A PhD in public administration, public affairs, political science, or a related field is required. Candidates who have held tenure previously at an academic institution and who have a demonstrably national reputation will be eligible for tenure on appointment, pending approval of the University Administration.
