Job Summary

The Department of the Classics at the University of Georgia invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Classical Archaeology. We are particularly interested in candidates with research interests in the eastern Mediterranean. We seek candidates whose expertise and methodologies are in keeping with the department’s expansive approach to antiquity and its legacy. The teaching load is four courses per academic year. Candidates should be prepared to teach classes in introductory Classical Culture, Archaeology, Latin, and/or Greek, as well as their research specialties.
