Job Summary


• Work with Center for Agribusiness and Economic Development (CAED) faculty and staff to design, implement and evaluate educational resources based on basic and applied research to support the needs of clientele groups.
• Employ regional development strategies to improve the economic well-being of Georgia citizens and disseminate these strategies through various methods including multi-media, personal education and written articles.
• Provide growers, processors and agribusiness professionals with the knowledge to market agricultural products.
• Develop information to promote the long-term viability of Georgia farms and agribusinesses.
• Consider ways to network agribusiness enterprises to maximize synergies.
• Work with faculty to secure grants to support the Center’s operations.
• Teach two AAEC courses (AAEC 3100 and course for online MAB program)
• Support undergraduate NAMA and Quiz Bowl teams and other undergraduate and MAB student activities

Minimum Qualifications

• M.S. in Agricultural Economics or closely related field of study

• Excellent communication, writing and computer/internet skills (i.e., experience in grant writing, publication of educational resources or articles for a targeted audience, and teaching; presentation of research results to an audience.)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in development of educational resources and knowledge of economic improvement, product marketing and grant writing are preferred.
