The Department of Statistics at the University of Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in the area of Statistical Machine Learning, starting August 2018. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Statistics or a closely related discipline by August 1, 2018, and scholarly credentials must reflect a strong commitment to teaching and research in statistical machine learning. Successful applicants are expected to develop a research program that will be competitive for external funding.
