Job Summary

The Department of Environmental Health Science in the College of Public Health, at The University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia, USA, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. The appointment is an academic year appointment with an opportunity to supplement salary through external funding.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctoral degree with 3 years of Postdoctoral training in a discipline related to Environmental Health Science or related biomedical area; 1-2 year academic working experience in research, teaching and acquiring/administering external funding.

Preferred Qualifications

We primarily are interested in individuals that focus either on environmental chemistry with strong chemical and biochemical analysis, or on chronic health effects of environmental toxicants on human populations. Strong evidence of ability to produce and communicate research; excellence in teaching and working with students; and a commitment to cultural diversity.
